TWO Mr. Slims Heat Pumps Qualify

Homeowners can claim up to a maximum of $1,500 in tax credits for all energy-efficient home improvements. For Mitsubishi Electric HVAC split heat-pump systems, this means 30 percent of the cost of heat pump installation including equipment, materials and labor.  The tax credit was effective February 17, 2009 after President Obama signed the new American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (also known as the Stimulus Bill).

To Qualify

HVAC systems MUST BE installed after February 17, 2009 through the end of 2010. Split-system heat pumps chosen for the installation must achieve the highest CE Tier Level of energy efficiency;

If a consumer purchases the MSZ/MUZ-FD12NA split system for $3,530.00, which includes equipment, materials, electrical & labor installation cost, then:

    $3,530.00 x 0.30 = $1,059.00 in tax credits!

   The consumer still has $441.00 available to be applied to other home improvements.
